About this Add-On:
My Add-On will enhance your lighting on X-Plane tremendously, I have enhanced all lighting on X-Plane including City Lights, Airport lights including Runways, taxiways and Stand lights. I have also enhanced all aircraft interior lighting including Floods Domes and MCP panel lights. Aircraft Exterior lights have also been edited such as Navigation, Beacon, Strobe, Taxi and Landing lights.
1. Installation Instructions:
You will find the installation instructions in the file as a pdf: Readme MOD Install and Usage Guide
Important:
Maybe you need to first lower your setting to the lowest possible when you start xplane. If you have done that in the main menu close xplane again and try to spawn with 737 with the lowest settings possible at day time. when you are spawned you can change to night time close the sim and than open it again. than spawn in again at night time. Now yo can slowly start pushing your settings up one by one! Dont forget that sometimes you will need to restart X Plane each time you changed one setting!

IF YOU UPDATE X-PLANE 12 YOU WILL NEED TO REINSTALL MY MOD BEFORE YOU START THE SIM AFTER THE UPDATE!!!

Top Marks and I am pleased to see Zombie has decided to refine this excellent lighting mod for use with XP12.
Despite the barriers put in his way on other sim forums (🤬) he has persisted and now provides us with this Mod here on Xplane.to which improves lighting in many ways. Day and night lighting, scenery, city and sky lighting. Also cockpit interior and plane lighting is improved I feel.
I have asked him to ensure install/update instructions are improved for those not fully up to speed with managing all these multiple files.

Can someone write proper instructions what to put and where? Those Installation insturctions are so confusing 😀
It says:
"INSTALLATION: Unzip the downloaded file into X-Plane 12 folder FLY WITH LUA is required paste it in the fly with lua scripts folder." So fisrt it says to put everything in root folder but then it says "paste it" on FWL- scripts- folder! What is "it"!!!??? Only scripts? WHAT!?
And should I replace all light- related files whith those .dds and lights.txt etc?
I know how LUA works, I tweaked lights by my own:

Not well written. Just unzip the downloaded stuff into the FlyWithLUA scripts folder. Never mind the X-Plane 12 root folder, it's got nothing to do with anything.

This is great mod but it does cause crash to desktop when using x-csl models for realtraffic, if could find which 'art control' is the issue would be good but dont thing the log gets that much detail? -

You really have to improve the way you explain how to install this correctly. I get lost on the LUA part. Please take some time to fix the text, use translators if needed but fix it so we can understand that better. Cheers!

well you need to look in the lights.txt for all datarefs that have sth to do with the cockpit lites and delete them but than you need to copy the cockpit lites from your default xplane 12 lights txt into the lites txt you downloaded here

hi have you tryed to start the game at the lowest settings possible in the main menu than close it and open it again with the lowest settings still applyed than spawn with the lowest settings with the default 737 at day time than you can change it to night time and close the sim after that you can start to icrese your settings one by one

OK, I will contact you. But I think this problem is tricky. Until I start IVAO or VASTIM. The game crashes. Do other players have the same problem as me?

Thank you for great work you did!!! The light are amazing and i want ask you if is possible to disable your MOD for cockpit lights becasue for ZIBO e TOLIS i prefer their default lights. Thenk you!!!

This is an incredible mod and it really enhances the x-plane experience. Although it's not finished and there is room for improvement it is still an improvement from the default! Especially with the new update... it really makes you think how much potential this mod really has!

XP12b6 just dropped. Lighting has gotten somewhat better, but there is still a long way to go on that. I find it odd that I only seem to have the airport lights excessively bright when I'm in external view, but perfectly fine when in the cockpit. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey, hope this finds everything going well. Just received the notification of your update. I'll let you know when I get it loaded and working.
Update: I just tested your latest update, and have really found no issues from your product. There is still a lot of light washout in external view, but, again, I don't think it is an issue with your mod. If I may suggest, hold off on doing any more updates, and give LR a few more updates to XP12; then see what your mod does from there. Just a thought, though...

Getting better! Still have a washout effect with the airport lighting, but not as bad as with your initial release. I think the issue is more from the LR side than anything, but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing here. Just one question, though...is it possible for the user to tweak the script to get the lighting to his/her taste? Just wondering out of curiosity. Thanks for the hard work, and press on!

the airport lighting is indeed an LR issue with the lIT textures and the obj them selfs but maybe i can minimize that efect but that will take weeks of har work😊 . And yes everyone can tweak the lua file as he or she wants and even add sth and maybe even send me their version of the lua and when im likeing it i will include this as an option

great work they look amazing, but they have a hude impacy on frames and my gpu, i have rtx 2060 6 gig v ram i5 10400 and 32 gig ram, i found the lights 1 a bit better ob frames, but as of now its really unusable for me, i will definetly keep my eye on this as it is what is needed, thank you very much for your hard work

i tried them all the best for me was light 1 with maybe 3frames impact, thats much better and thank you very much, i will keep these ones in and test them out, they look amazing nice one😊😊😊

I mean its good but the problem is it looks like its made for 11 not 12 so the files are confusing maybe dumb it down abit before someone puts every single file into there lites.

Great idea - and a lot of work I suppose.
But now the lights at the airport terminals are way, way too bright / glistening white! and a bit too bright in the cities / on the streets. Other lights are good. Probably strong impact on FPS.
